Campfire

As we are preparing for our first of three camping trips next week, I thought the title of this shot would be appropriate. This first trip is fairly close to home in that it is only an hour away in the Eastern Townships. Our second trip later in July will be up to Tadousac while the third trip will be south near New York City.
This is a shot of the Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago by Frank O. Gehry.

This may be a stupid question, but I feel compelled to ask it as a fellow “Chicagoan”: are you really from Chicago, or just a suburb that no one else would recognize, unless they were from the Chicagoland area?
LOL. OK, now that’s too funny. So that means half the staff of the Montreal Metblog is Chicago expatriots?
No, I’m a tried and true Chicagoan having never lived outside the city limits (into the suburbs, I mean). Oddly I can’t say the same about living in Montreal since we’re off island. I grew up in the NorthCenter neighborhood near Irving Park & Western. After I started working, we moved to Lakeview near Clark & Diversey.
So then, where are you from in Chicago?
