There are tons of people who have been outraged for a long time. And with each act he's committed, we have grumbled and hoped something would stick. This is something that could offend not only us, but also his base. It has been sad to see those in his party continue to offer possible explanations of how this could be legitimate. As is said in the commentary, he and his cronies are just a corner of the Republican Party. The rest of the party is not as crooked as this. I don't agree with their values, but they do serve to offer another viewpoint. Trust me. There are tons of people who have been outraged for a long time. People are very passionate about the Scooter Libby pardon. This seems weird to me because Bush did so many other more far serious yet equally crooked things. But, I guess the average American needed overwhelming and undeniable proof that he's a far worse crook than Nixon ever was, and this is it.
